Pet Shop

This afternoon I took Kylee to M&M pet shop. We've been a few times before, but it's been awhile. She had the best time! Its a pretty small shop, but we were there almost 40 minutes! Kylee was super excited about every single animal there (snakes, rabbits, fish, lizards, birds, etc). Her favorites seemed to be the ferrets and the frogs. She spent forever in front of the ferret cage, watching the ferret just lay there, saying that it was "cute", and trying to give it kisses through the glass. Later she found a tank full of pink and blue frogs swimming around. She was absolutely mesmerised! She sat down on the floor in front of the tank for what had to be at least 5 minutes. She kept laughing and saying "frogs swimming! frogs funny!"
I didn't bring my camera, but here are a few fuzzy pictures I took with my phone.

Tummy Ache

Kylee has had a tummy bug the past few days, but as usual, she's handled it like a champ. She's been extra cuddly (which I've enjoyed) and had a few short crying spouts, but for the most part she's been her happy, active self.

Monday we took it easy and stayed at home in our pajamas all day. I was sad that she wasn't feeling well but glad to have a lazy day at home and some time alone with her. Daddy had to run errands in the morning, but he took off work that evening so that he could hang out with us too.

Last night grandma and I decided to take her back out to the refuge. Since she had been stuck at home for a couple days and she usually enjoys the refuge so much, we thought it would be a nice treat for her. We also thought there would be lots of animals out since it was quite a bit cooler than has been. We were wrong. Kylee enjoyed throwing rocks in the lake, but she was not up for all the time in the car. Last time we went out we saw 5 deer, a squirrel, butterflies, a couple herds of buffalo, and tons of longhorn. This time we saw 2 lone buffalo. That's it!
While we were out there we took her to the Holy City for the first time. She was not fan. I don't blame her. That place is even creepier than I remembered it.

Doodlebug

One of Kylee's favorite things to do is draw on her magnadoodle. It's fun to watch her doodle, because she always has the most adorable look of concentration. I also love that she names her drawings. Here are some of yesterdays' magnadoodle masterpieces.

Picture Time!

I've made a lot of progress on the online albums this week, but I still have quite a bit to do before they are completely caught up. So...here are some of the pictures from this week.

Dancey Dance

Kylee has recently become a fan of the show Yo Gabba Gabba. She isn't actually a big fan of the actual show, but she loves the intro and several of the songs. Her favorite is the wiggle song. Tony has it on DVR and plays it repeatedly whenever we come over. Just as the song instructs, Kylee wiggles like crazy when they sing "wiggle, wiggle go" and freezes when the say "hold still." Here are a few very short video clips of Kylee and Tony doing their dancey dance:

End of the Week Recap

This week had its ups and downs. It was kind of a crazy one for me, but the important thing is Kylee had fun. She splashed in Gracie's pool, hung out at home with Charli and Tony, took a trip to the OK Science Museum, played in the sprinkler, went to Nations of Fun, got some new outfits from grandma, and had a picnic on the lawn with Vickie. Here are a few pictures of Kylee enjoying her week:

Refuge with Grandma

This afternoon grandma took us out to the wildlife refuge. First we went to Prairie Dog Run to say "hi" to the prairie dogs. Then we walked around Sunset. Kylee got to see fish, turtles, horses, prairie dogs, a coyote, and lots of buffalo (including quite a few babies). She was excited to see the buffalo and tried to feed them cookies through the window. She also enjoyed finding rocks and skipping on the bridge.

Being close to the refuge is definitely one of my favorite things about living in Lawton. It is such an awesome place, and I have so many memories there. I'm really looking forward to this fall. I can't wait to take Kylee out to the refuge to play in all the fallen leaves with her grandma just like grandma used to do with her grandma!

Family Fun Friday

Friday afternoon we went to Nations of Fun with daddy, grandpa, Uncle Phillip and Uncle Tony. I'm not sure who had more fun - Kylee riding the horse or daddy and grandpa trying to beat the record on the punching bag game!

giddy up!

She looooooooooooooooves this thing!

Jackpot!!!

Kylee took a super late nap. When she woke up we went out to Talley's house to hang out with some of daddy's friends from work. Kylee had a great time and even got to go on another tractor ride! She also met a new friend, an 8 year-old named Carson. She was quite smitten over him!

Riding out to stephens county. Shes getting so much better in the car!
