Friday morning when daddy got back from the gym, he decided to go on a ruk march. I suggested that he try out the backpack carrier and strap on Kylee instead of his ruk sack. He did, and she loved it! They circled the neighborhood a few times, but Kylee still wanted to go some more. So, per Kylee's request, daddy marked 2 miles down 67th street to grandpa's house.

Thanksgiving 2009
This year we started off the Thanksgiving festivities at Aunt Patty and Uncle Mike's house where we hang out with grandma's side of the family and ate a delicious feast made mostly by grandma. Kylee ate quickly and then spent most of the time outside playing with the dogs and enjoying the beautiful fall weather.
Next we went to Grandpa and Nana Laura's house. Kylee was very excited to meet Uncle Tony's baby cousin, Mya. She sat and watched Mya for awhile and then gave her a great big hug and exclaimed "my baby sister!" Kylee had a blast playing hide and seek with Tony and, of course, playing outside.
We went home so that Kylee could nap and daddy could go to work. Then Kylee and I went over to grandma's house for dessert and round 2 of turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. We ate a ton and came home with several containers of leftovers. Yum! We spent the rest of the weekend at home in our pajamas (most of it anyway).
Turkey Day Crafts
Last week we used finger paint and construction paper to make hand print turkey place mats.
Wednesday evening we used Kylee's hand prints to make turkey sugar cookies. We only ended up making a few turkeys (kylee liked playing in the dough a little too much). I just cut the rest into circles and let Kylee paint them with icing. First she painted an orange cookie for Aunt Michelle and then a purple cookie for grandma. She didn't specify who the rest were for.

Holiday Parade
Saturday evening Vickie and I took Kylee to her 1st parade. She had a great time! Her favorite part was when about 20 plus people marched by, all walking dogs with them. I wish I would have gotten a video of her excitement! Her whole face lit up, and she practically jumped off Vickie's shoulders. She also liked the dragon from Lawton Little Dragons and all the Santas. Each time a float with Santa went by she'd smile, waive and yell "Hi Santa Claus! Ho Ho Ho!"
I wasn't able to get very many pictures. The night flash on my camera made her eyes close.

ABCs & 123s
Yesterday Kylee counted to 10! I don't have any counting videos, but here are a couple ABC clips.

Halloween '09
We had so much fun on Halloween! We slept in late, baked & ate pumpkin seeds, carved another pumpkin, drove around and looked at the neighbor's pumpkins/decorations, went trick or treating, and showed off Kylee and her costume at daddy's work.
Vickie came over dressed as a rotten banana and went trick or treating with us. We decided bring along the wagon so that Kylee wouldn't tire as fast, but she insisted on walking most the way.
The first house we went to was our next door neighbors. Kylee had been asking to go trick or treating all day and was so excited it was finally time. As soon as we got her out of the wagon, she ran right up to the door on her own. The neighbors seemed just as excited as she was. They gave her TONS of candy and asked to take her picture. When Kylee refused to leave, they gave her even more candy. Kylee was already having a blast and every time we tried to get her to leave she yelled "No! I want more trick or treat!" It took us awhile to convince her that there would be more trick or treat at the next house.
I only planned on going to a few houses, but Kylee and Vickie had other plans. They were on a mission. They were having fun, and they didn't want to stop. We compromised and went to about 10 houses. Then we got in the car and went to grandmas. When we got there Aunt Michelle and Izzy joined us for more trick or treating.
Luckily Kylee decided she was ready to go back to grandma's house just as trick or teat time was coming to an end. We visited with grandma for a few minutes and then went to daddy's work.
Surprisingly Kylee had no interest in the candy and didn't eat a single piece all night! She was very excited and happy just to ring door bells and hear neighbors tell her how cute she is. I think her favorite part was seeing all the neighbors' dogs. She tried walking into several houses to get to the dogs. This morning when she woke up she told me "Happy Halloween mommy!" Then she asked for "more Vickie banana" and "more neighbor's dogs."
