Jump for Joy

This morning Rikki took Charli, Kylee, and me to Jump for Joy in Wichita Falls! Here's what Kylee had to say after our fun morning jumping and sliding:

More Fun With Uncle Tony

Yesterday I took Kylee to the mall play area for the first time in awhile. It was pretty packed, but several of Kylee's playgroup friends were there. Kylee was super clingy and a little fussy. She hardly got 2 feet from me until Uncle Tony showed up. As soon as Tony got there it was a completely different story. She immediately perked up, ran off with Tony, and had a blast! Those two are quite a crazy pair!

I know I have been kind of picture happy on here lately. I am just so far behind with updating Kylee's photo albums; I want to make sure I at least get some pictures posted somewhere until I can catch up on the albums. I'm already so behind that I'm not sure of the order of the pictures. I need to get in gear and get the albums up to date before I loose the pictures all together!

Butterfly Ballet

Kylee's Wiggles and Barney DVDs somehow snuck their way into the house. There is a scene in her Wiggles movie with little girls wearing butterfly wings and doing ballet. Kylee loves it! When it comes on she tip-toes and twirls around the living room like a butterfly ballerina. A couple days ago she found her butterfly wings in her room. She asked for help putting them on and then immediately asked to watch the "wiggles butterfly". She had me repeat the scene numerous times in a row so that she could dance with the rest of the butterflies. She ended up keeping her wings on all morning and then asked for the wings and the song again after her bath that night. I wasn't allowed to take the wings off until she fell asleep. The next day she asked for the wings again. She wore them several hours and even kept them on in the car and while we visited grandma at work.

More Pictures

Here are some more of Kylee's 18 month old portraits. There were 72 proofs all together.

Uncle ToneTone

Kylee just adores her Uncle Tony! Lately Tony has been hanging out with us for an hour or two on weekday mornings while daddy and grandpa go to the gym. Kylee and "ToneTone" really enjoy their time together. So much in fact that they have both been known to throw fits when their daddies decide to skip the gym.

Toddler Logic

Kylee loves putting on lotion. Today when we were putting on her sun screen, she decided to share. She helped me put the lotion on my arms and then started putting lotion on the couch and toys. We had a little talk, and I explained that lotion is only for people. She backed off the couch and instead starting putting lotion on Auntie Vickie and me. After a minute or two she walked up to the tv and smeared sun screen all over the screen. I reminded her that lotion is for people not TVs. She looked at me with the sassiest "duh mom!" face and then said "people on tv!" She was right. There were people on the tv. How could I argue with that?

Buffalo Gal

Since the weather was so nice today (in the 80s!), I decided to take Kylee back out to the Wildlife Refuge to feed the prairie dogs and look for buffalo. Unfortunately, I miss read a sign and ended up in the wrong spot. Apparently "dog run trail" is NOT the same as "prairie dog run"! There were also no buffalo to be found. However, we did come VERY close to a family of raccoons and a herd of longhorn. Kylee was happy with that. We stopped for a picnic near lost lake. The weather and the scenery were gorgeous! After that we went to the visitors center. Kylee always has a lot of fun there. Two of Kylee's playgroup friends, Nathaniel and Carrie, joined us along with their mommies.
This evening we went over to grandma's. While we were there grandma and Uncle Steven gave Kylee a buffalo that used to be Steven's when he was itty bitty. I can't believe they still had it! Kylee loves it and has hardly put it down since she got it.
