Puppy!
Saturday night daddy came home on his lunch break and surprised Kylee with a puppy! I wish I got a picture of Kylee when daddy's friend, Tyler, walked in with the puppy. Her eyes were huge! Mine were probably just as big. Kylee is absolutely ecstatic about her new puppy, but I don't think anyone is quite as happy as Rocky. He and the pup were instant best friends.

Oktoberfest
Friday evening grandma took us to Fort Sill's Oktoberfest. The petting zoo wasn't there yet, but Kylee had a great time anyways. She loved playing the bean bag game and watching all the people walk around. She had a blast dancing to the German music and feasting on German food. She ate entire Brat all by herself (minus one bite that fell in the grass)! She had such a good time, she didn't want to leave.
Saturday afternoon daddy took us back. This time the petting zoo was there. To say Kylee loved it would be a huge understatement. We stayed for awhile; then left to eat. After we ate Kylee took off in a full sprint straight to animals. We stayed for a good 30 minutes more. Kylee still wasn't ready to go, and cried when we had to leave ( it was time for daddy to go home and get ready for work).

Now I Know My ABCs...
Kylee is getting really good at singing her favorite songs. Yesterday while I was hanging her clothes up, she grabbed her xylophone and hammered out each letter as she sung the entire alphabet song all on her own! She can also sing almost all of Baa Baa Black Sheep and knows many of the words to lots of other songs.

Getting Crafty
Monday we went to a small group playdate at Charli's house. While we were there Rikki showed us how to do a couple cute Halloween crafts. We traced the kids' hands and feet and used them to make bats and ghosts. I enjoyed visiting and getting crafty (even though I had to have help with tracing and cutting. lol) while Kylee had fun playing with her friends.
Kylee was particularly impressed with 9 month old baby Ethan. She sat down next to (practically on top of) him as soon as his mom put him down. She followed him around as he crawled and tickled his feet when he was in the highchair.
Pumpkin Painting - round 2
2nd Annual Pumpkin Patch
Last year both of the local pumpkin patches were closed. So grandma, aunt Michelle, and I each bought a few pumpkins and made Kylee her own mini pumpkin patch in our backyard. Kylee and I both had so much fun that I decided to make it a tradition. This year we stepped it up a notch and added friends, food, and fingerpaint.
Kylee's friends Charli and Gracie came over last night with their parents. The girls had a lot of fun exploring the "pumpkin patch" and chasing each other around the backyard. After we ate they decorated pumpkins with fingerpaint and festive stickers. In addition to their painted pumpkin, the girls got pumpkin shaped suckers and sippy cups to take home. Our hayride and extra decorations fell through, but that's ok. It gives us a way to make things even better next year.
