Trick or Treat!

Thursday night we went trick or treating at the mall with Aly & Carrie. When we first got there Kylee was not in good mood. She only had about 1/2 and nap and was not happy about it. However after trick or treating at the first store, she perked right up. By the time we got the 3rd store, she was a pro.

We got about half way through the mall before both girls decided they absolutely couldn't wait any longer to get into their candy. So, we stopped for a dum dum break.

Shortly afer that we ran into Kylee’s BF, Charli. The girls were SO happy to see each other! They ran right up to each other giggling and showing each other their loot. Charli even took several pieces of her candy out of her bucket and gave it to Kylee. Adorable!!!

After trick or treating, we stopped and visited daddy at work. Kylee loved that! One of the ladies gave her a keyboard to play with. As she was typing, she counted to 8! I’ve never heard her count that high before. She usually on makes it to 3, maybe 4.

Pumpkin Carving

This morning we carved another pumpkin. This time Kylee knew what to expect and exactly what to do. She dove right in and started removing the "goo".

Here is my little love bug flying around the backyard in her Halloween costume.

Playdate Recap

Oct 14 - Nathaniel and his mom, Danielle, came over before lunch. We had a great time visiting with them. I got busy talking and forgot to take any pictures.

Oct 16 -Annastazia and her mom, Jillian, came over. The girls had a picnic lunch in the backyard and then played together in Kylee's play area. Kylee was very excited about the chips and zebra cakes that Annastazia brought to share.

Oct 22 - Carrie and her mom, Aly, came over, and we made edible peanut butter play dough. Neither girl was very interested in playing with it, but they both seemed to really enjoy eating it.

When they left we went to Annastazia's house and played with real play dough. Surprisingly, Kylee did great with it....at first. Eventually she started eating it, and we had to put it up. I forgot to bring my camera, but Jillian is supposed to email pictures. I'll post those as soon as I get them.
Oct 24- We met Ethan and his parents at the park. First the kids played on the tot side of the park while Tara and I watched and reminisced. Its hard to believe its been over a year since we first met them there (at our first Connect the Tots event). We went over to the big kid side for awhile, and Kylee and Ethan ended their date by holding hands and swinging together.

Miss Independant

This morning we met some of our playgroup friends at the park to celebrate Kylee's friend, Carrie's, 2nd birthday. Kylee had so much fun!!! It was probably the most fun I've seen her have in awhile. She ran off on her own and played with her friends for an hour without me! I was just a few feet away watching her play, but she never looked back! This is a first for her. Later she grabbed one of the other moms' hands and took her clear to the other side of the park (her 1st time on the big kid side) without me.

Jack-O-Lantern

Monday Vickie came over and carved a pumpkin for Kylee. Kylee seemed to enjoy watching and helping with the whole process. She didn't want anything to do with pumpkin guts at first, but after a few minutes she dug right in. :)
